Our client is an established, privately owned business that specialises in the design, build and maintenance of data centre and server room environments for major clients in the private and public sectors throughout the UK. Due to their continued success, they are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team.
This is a very exciting opportunity for an ambitious infrastructure solutions sales professional to become an important part of an expanding and successful company.
As a Business Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to influence this leading company's direction and future success through your sales contribution.
Focusing on new business development, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle. This will include prospecting, qualifying marketing generated leads, developing solutions in collaboration with pre-sales architects, presenting proposals and developing relationships with key stakeholders and CE level decision makers.
Your duties will include:
- Identifying and developing sales prospects
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients
- Account management and contract maintenance
- Managing and maintaining new business proposals and the opportunity pipeline/forecast
- Developing proposals and presenting to senior decision makers
To be considered, you must have:
- Experience of driving large, new business wins throughout the entire sales cycle
- A proven track record of selling infrastructure solutions into large private and public sector organisations (not server or software sales)
- An exceptional level of IT literacy
- A driving licence
As a Business Development Manager, you must be able to translate technical solutions into business value at senior level. Equally important is your excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, and your superb skills at presenting at CE level.
An understanding of the data centre market and the opportunities it provides would be an advantage to your application. An understanding of mechanical and electrical design solutions for the data centre industry, with particular expertise in power and cooling solutions, would also be an advantage.
