South Federal Boulevard is closed near West Florida Avenue after a traffic accident involving a pedestrian this afternoon.
The collision happened about 4:15 p.m. The pedestrian suffered serious bodily injury and was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center, said Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson.
The person's name, age and other information about the accident was not yet available from traffic investigators, he said.
The busy intersection is closed for the investigation with no estimated time to reopen. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area immediately west of Ruby Hill neighborhood.
